Comparison of top plate with Wm. Ellery #345351 (click pictures for larger view)

All sprung under Wm. Ellery movements seen so far by author have an engraved index. The applied index goes with sprung over balances. But note that the location of the stud is identical.

All Wm. Ellery movements have screw adjustable bank pins. Note the Russell barrel bridge is narrower. As can be seen in picture, the top plate encircles the barrel as on early Model 57s, preceding the Ellery around serial number 20,000.
